Often, the family dog presents a single behavior problem that owners just can’t seem to troubleshoot. Some issues are easily resolved, such as potty-training or proper introduction of a new puppy to the home. Canine basics such as these are appropriate for one-time consults.
Behavioral Modification Plans
Harmony Canines specializes in tailoring behavior modification plans for dog owners and families who lead busy lives. Our schedules today demand more of us than ever, leaving very little time for our four-legged friends. We expect dogs to sleep all night while we’re home, and continue sleeping all day while we’re gone at work. And we wonder why they develop obsessions, anxieties and annoying behavioral habits. While the best and most successful behavioral modification plan will require some amount of time investment on the owner’s part, Harmony facilitates this process so that it happens as quickly and painlessly as possible.
Obedience Training
Manners are important. The nuts and bolts of obedience consist of the basics: sit, down, stay, etc. Puppies are prime obedience candidates but you can teach an old dog new tricks. Many different obedience schools exist and oftentimes for puppies, group classes are best. Private in-home obedience training is best for dogs that have already been socialized, however obedience cues can be taught at any time.
